It's Spring! well, sort of...

Spring is officially here...unfortunately, the person who chooses the weather wasn't informed of that fact because we received a foot of snow last Friday (the 2nd day of Spring). We shoveled the snow once on Friday night, but had to do it again Saturday morning for us to get our car out of the driveway! According to the news, we are supposed to get snow AGAIN this Thursday & Friday :( ... but again, it's Spring, just in case you forgot.



In the past few weeks we have taken a few short trips, two to Milwaukee and one to Chicago. In early February, we went to the Lion King Broadway show (which we wrote about on our last blog...I think...) but we thought you would like to see our one picture we took while at the show (We are holding the program :)...we were too far away to take any good shots of the stage). Then, in early March we went to a hockey game during Dave's Spring Break. The game wasn't that exciting, but the breaks between each period were very entertaining. One time they had some large cheese containers racing around the ice and another time they had human bowling! :) Hopefully we will make it to at least one more game before the season is over, but Dave's schedule is pretty darn full with school and work. Our most recent trip was to visit our friend Jen in Chicago. She lives just outside of downtown Chicago so after she took us out to lunch, we decided to take the EL train (like a subway tram but it is elevated above the ground) from her apartment into downtown! It was great to see her and we couldn't have asked for nicer weather :)








As April is just around the corner, we are looking forward to a visit from Heidi's parents and Dave finishing up his classes (he will just have his internship during the summer) so that he can walk in the graduation ceremonies in late April and early May (one for just his classes and the other that is at the Aurora, IL campus where he will wear his cap and gown).
