Teaching Kindergarten...

Long story short, I am now teaching Kindergarten (Still at the same school). Since our Kindergarten classes were HUGE (28 students each) and the Third Grade classes were small (15 students each) I was "chosen" to have my class split up between the other 2 classes, making a new Kindergarten teacher. Besides being in Kindergarten myself, I had no experience in a Kindergarten classroom...making this change a Enormously stressful change. Luckily, I have a fabulous staff and family who helped me set up my new classroom and prepare for taking on the task of teaching Kindergarten.

I have now been teaching Kindergarten for 3 1/2 weeks, but still don't have some of the supplies (ie curriculum, computers, books, etc) that are needed for our all day program. I have been sharing supplies with the other Kindergarten teachers and slowly my supplies are arriving! Hopefully these next few weeks won't be quite so stressful, so please send your positive thoughts and prayers my way.

ps...I will have Dave write about his new job at Fort Lewis once he gets a chance (which could be a while) :)
