Chicago in June!

Yesterday we drove to Chicago to spend the day in the sun! It was the first time we were in the Windy City since the weather has warmed up so this time we didn't even have to bring a coat with us! It was about 85 degrees out without a cloud in the sky, so the water of Lake Michigan was a beautiful blue/green color. We hope you enjoy our photos!

Heidi got a job!

Hey all!

I thought this would be the quickest way to let all of you know that I was offered a job with the Clover Park School District (Tacoma, WA) today! I was not offered a specific position at this time, but now I will have several interviews with principals to find the best fit for me and the elementary schools. The great part is that I know I will have my very own classroom this fall!!!

Thanks to all of you who helped with the process and sent good thoughts my way :)

Cheers,

Heidi

Bad Weather

If you haven't been watching the news lately, you might not know that the midwest has been hit hard with horrible flooding, thunderstorms, and tornados. I thought that I would just post a little message to let everyone know that so far (crossing our fingers) the town we live in hasn't been damaged. But....If we wanted to travel north, east, west, or south, we would need a boat or a way to make our car float over some of the water-covered roadways. Hopefully the rain stops for a while so that towns can start to clean up the mess.
