Our Trip to Milwaukee

Today we took a little trip to Milwaukee to visit Dave's brother, Myk, who was here on a trip for his work. We went on a tour of the Miller Brewing Company (it was FREE!!!) and they even gave us 3 samples at the end of the tour! We highly recommend touring this facility if you ever visit Milwaukee, WI.

Fall colors have arrived!

Dave and I went for a walk this afternoon to enjoy the nice weather (it was in the 70's today) as well as the beautiful fall colors. Here are some of the pictures we took along the way...

Back from the car doctor

Horray!!! Our car is back from the car doctor and is just like new...well, she is wearing her night makeup now :) The auto body shop found all used parts for us (which really helped keep the cost down) and the best hood they could find was a midnight blue color. Oh well... we will have to save up for the painting of the hood, but for now all is good.

It was 88 degrees today :(... did I mention that it is OCTOBER now!!! If you have some control over the weather, please send some normal autumn weather our way. Thanks!

Iowa & a very sad deer :(

So yesterday we went to Iowa to visit a friend from high school. We enjoyed our adventure to a new state and were both very suprised at how pretty it was. On our way back home, we decided to drive a different way home. All was well until we met a deer... here are some pictures of our car that is now visiting the car doctor. Luckily, we hit the deer in the middle of the front of our car because, if you didn't already know, Buicks are like tanks and only the front of our car was damaged. We are both fine and no one but the deer was hurt. A nice family stopped to ask if we were okay, which was a huge blessing since neither of us had ever been in an accident or killed an animal with our car before. Long story short... we had a lots of new experiences and adventure this weekend.
